CURRY MINCE VETKOEK

YIELD: Serves 6

INGREDIENTS

  • 45 ml (3 Tbsp) Oil, for frying
  • 100 g (1 small) Onions, chopped
  • 500 g Beef, mince
  • 100 g (1 small) Potato, finely cubed
  • 100 g (1 medium) Carrots, diced
  • 50 g (⅓ sachet) Curry Mince R/P (08454022)
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Water
  • 540 g (6) Vetkoek, large, cut in half (90 g each)

METHOD

1. Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onions until soft and transparent. 2. Add the mince and fry until browned. 3. Add the potato, carrots and Curry Mince R/P. 4. Gradually add the water and simmer for 30 - 40 minutes or until the potato and carrots are tender and the sauce has thickened. 5. Spoon ± 150 g filling into each vetkoek to serve.
