BOBOTIE MINCE VETKOEK
YIELD: Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
- 45 ml (3 Tbsp) Oil, for frying
- 200 g (4 small) Onions, chopped
- 600g Beef, mince
- 90 g (1 sachet) Bobotie R/P (08431027)
- 250 ml (1 cup) Water
- 60 g (¾cup) Raisins
- 80 ml (⅔ cup) Mild Fruit Chutney (07656040)
- 540 g (6) Vetkoek, large, cut in half (90 g each)
METHOD
1. Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onions until soft and transparent. Add the mince and cook until browned. Add the Bobotie R/P to the mince and gradually add the water. 2. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring continuously. 3. Mix the raisins and Mild Fruit Chutney into the mince mixture and continue to simmer for ± 5 minutes. 4. Spoon ± 160 g of filling into each vetkoek to serve.
