Deli Spices Group is one of the leading seasoning and additive blend suppliers to the Sub-Saharan food industry. We package globally-sourced, high-quality ingredients to create convenient offerings for our clients. We specialise in almost anything to do with flavour and food enhancement: flavourants (natural spices and herbs); meal creation (home meal replacement, hospitality and catering ingredient solutions); functional ingredients (soya protein); casings (natural, collagen and artificial) and meat processing equipment and packaging.

We work hard to maintain strong relationships with our customers who include leading retail corporates, independent multi-national butcheries and delis, major meat processing plants, speciality customers, food services and catering organisations.

Deli Spices was founded in 1981 by Walter Haller, a qualified Fleischmeister (master butcher). Today his sons, Thomas, Claus and Robin, remain involved in the management of the business. The manufacturing plant and head office are based in Cape Town. We have distribution centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg to improve our delivery service to our customers.

In 2017, Deli Spices entered into a strategic partnership with MANE, one of the largest flavour and fragrance companies in the world. This relationship presents exciting opportunities for innovative offerings to our customers and to the industry.

Did you know?

A delicatessen or deli sells a selection of unusual, prepared foods. Originating in Germany, the original meaning was “delicious things to eat”.

Our company name is derived from the delicious finished products our clients make and sell using our high-quality ingredients and spices, found in our well known “Ready Packs”.
